Construction Manager


The Construction Manager will play a critical role in supervising the end-to-end execution of large-scale warehouse and industrial construction projects over a 55-acre site. This includes project planning, procurement, construction, safety, cost tracking, and coordination with multiple stakeholders. The role is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of high-quality infrastructure in alignment with the approved budget and safety standards.
 

The ideal candidate must bring strong leadership, project management, and technical capabilities with an emphasis on quality, safety, budget discipline, and timely execution. The Construction Manager will serve as the single point of contact at the site, ensuring seamless coordination with design consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

Project Execution & Oversight:

  • Coordinate and execute construction activities on-site.
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, design coordination, and quality compliance from inception to completion.

Time & Progress Monitoring:

  • Monitor and track work progress as per agreed schedule.
  • Finalize and maintain micro-schedules in coordination with contractors and internal teams.
  • Notify delays and mitigation actions.

Cost & Budget Control:

  • Track and control project expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Prepare project cash flows, cost optimization plans, and conduct earned value management.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

  • Develop and implement the HSE management plan.
  • Conduct quarterly internal audits.
  • Ensure Zero Reportable Lost Time Injury (RLTI) and Zero Major Dangerous
    Occurrence.

Quality Assurance & Checks:

  • Prepare and implement Quality Management Plans and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Conduct audits and address quality non-conformities.

Design & Coordination:

  • Manage design delivery in coordination with consultants and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure all design data is up to date.
  • Resolve design-related issues through regular workshops.

Development Targets:

  • Drive execution aligned with development targets for each project phase.
  • Align micro-plans and procurement to meet timelines and leasing commitments.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate effectively with contractors, PMCs, consultants, and internal departments.
  • Maintain proactive communication and reporting to senior management.

Educational Requirements and Work Experience

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • B.E. – Civil Engineering + Post-graduation in Construction/Project Management

Years of experience:

  • Minimum 10 - 15 years in managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary industrial or infrastructure
    project.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Extensive site-based experience in construction execution, safety, and project planning.
  • Familiarity with PEB construction, FM/DM flooring, NBC & fire safety codes, and green building (IGBC) standards.
  • Proficiency with MS Project and advanced Excel.
  • Experience with statutory compliance for industrial/warehouse greenfield & brownfield developments.
