Manager /Sr. Manager - QS Billing


The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for preparing accurate quantity sheets, bills of quantities, and processing subcontractor bills, ensuring adherence to company protocols and meticulous checking and certification of measurements and invoices.

Key responsibilities 

Quantity and Measurement Preparation:

  • Prepare quantity sheet from onsite data & drawings.
  • To take the measurement from the site engineer.
  • Review the quantities of items listed.
  • Checking measurements. 

Bill Preparation and Certification:

  • Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ) & bills with item rates from tender.
  • Prepare & process subcontractor bills.
  • Checking and certification of bills and invoices from vendors and contractors.
  • Bill certification. 

Reconciliation and Documentation:

  • Preparing reconciliation statements.
  • Should be good in MS Excel and MS Word.

Compliance and Protocol Adherence:

  • To get work done as per the protocol of the company.

  • To follow up on the accounts department for payment.

Quantity and Measurement Preparation:

  • To make sure that the quantity sheets prepared from onsite data and drawings are error-free.
  • Any discrepancies identified should be resolved during the review of quantities listed.

Bill Preparation and Certification:

  • Bills of quantities (BOQ) and subcontractor bills should be prepared accurately.
  • Vendor/contractor bills and invoices should be prepared, checked, and certified within the given time.
  • All billing discrepancies should be identified and resolved before certification.

Reconciliation and Documentation:

  • Reconciliation statements prepared should be accurate and their submissions should be timely.

Compliance and Protocol Adherence:

  • The tasks to be completed should meet company protocols and compliance standards.
  • Follow up with the accounts department and ensure timely payments.

Educational Requirement and Work Experience

Education Requirements:

  • Graduation /Diploma – Civil Engineering

Work Experience Requirements: 

  • 10 - 15 years

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Should have relevant understanding of calculating the billing quantities as per IS standards
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • High attention to detail, especially in financial and legal matters.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders. 
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word for preparing reports and reconciliation statements.
