We are seeking an experienced Lead – QAQC to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in quality management systems, internal and external quality audits, site inspections, and the preparation of quality manuals and related documents. The QAQC Lead will be responsible for ensuring all construction activities meet contract specifications and client expectations while adhering to ISO 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.

Key responsibilities

Quality Management System (QMS):

• Implement and manage the Quality Management System in alignment with project requirements and approved Quality Manuals.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with QMS 9001 standards across all construction activities.

Audits and Inspections:

• Conduct internal and external audits for contractors, batching plants, and third-party laboratoriesas per ISO 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to address audit findings and follow up to ensure implementation.
• Act as a subject matter expert for all audit-related matters, representing the department in addressing quality concerns and areas for improvement.

Site Supervision:

• Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with contract specifications, agreed procedures, and quality standards.
• Coordinate and conduct stage-wise site inspections and tests in accordance with Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).

Training and Development:

• Develop and conduct training programs and induction sessions to ensure staff awareness of quality requirements and standards.
• Guide and support project teams in the implementation of project quality plans and audit requirements.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare quality assurance and quality control reports, SOPs, and audit performance analysis.
• Maintain all technical documents related to site quality control and ensure their current status.
• Issue non-conformance reports (NCR) and observations for deviations observed during quality walk-downs.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, project teams, and clients, to ensure quality standards are consistently applied.
• Respond to customer complaints and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented for continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and implement lessons learned and best practices to improve quality systems and processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of quality control activities.

Educational Requirement and Work Experience

Education Requirements: 

• B.E. in Civil Engineering or related field. 

Certifications:

• IRCA Certified Quality Management System (9001:2015) Lead Auditor.
• IRCA Certified OHSAS (18001:2007) Lead Auditor.
• Certified EMS (14001:2015) Lead Auditor.
• MMUP, State of Qatar Certified Civil Engineer.

Years of experience:

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the construction industry with a focus on quality 
• assurance, quality control, and auditing.
• Proven experience in conducting internal and external audits for construction projects.

Work Experience Requirements: 

• Strong understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders and conducting 
• training programs.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Proficiency in preparing quality manuals, method statements, ITPs, and qualityrelated documentation.
