Site Engineer - QA/QC
The Site Engineer – QA/QC is responsible for ensuring that construction activities meet the required quality standards by implementing and monitoring the Quality Management System (QMS) at project sites. The role involves developing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with IS codes and specifications, and proactively identifying quality issues to enhance overall project delivery.
Key responsibilities
Quality Management & Compliance:
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Method Statements at project sites.
- Ensure adherence to IS codes, specifications, and construction quality standards.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of Quality Improvement Plans (QIP).
Inspection & Monitoring:
- Conduct pre-handover inspections to deliver snag-free units for operations.
- Perform ongoing inspections to ensure execution aligns with drawings and specifications.
- Verify sequence of work for all construction activities at the site.
- Carry out de-snagging inspections and provide quality ratings at different project stages.
Quality Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare, update, and maintain quality control formats, test reports, checklists, and training materials.
- Maintain and manage QA certification and quality control records.
- Report all quality issues and raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) for sub-standard work.
Process Improvement & Risk Mitigation:
- Implement a Quality Rating System at the site to monitor and improve construction quality.
- Identify and address existing quality issues to prevent recurrence.
- Work closely with contractors, developers, and external agencies to ensure best practices are followed.

Educational Requirements and Work Experience
Minimum Education Requirements:
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
Years of experience:
- 6-8 years of experience in QA/QC within warehousing, industrial, residential, or
commercial construction.
Work Experience Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Construction Quality Control & Assurance.
- Familiarity with QMS, IS codes, RCC, finishing works, and project ratings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and quality testing tools.
