Our social vision finds voice in three primary areas – education, empowerment, and environment & health

Project Gyankunj on Digital Education
In partnership with the Government of Gujarat, Welspun has undertaken the digitising of government primary school classrooms to make them more conducive to learning with technology tools like projectors, interactive boards, and computer systems. So far, in doing so we have impacted the lives of over 50,000 children in Valsad, Kutch, and Bharuch.
Children Today, Leaders of Tomorrow
At Welspun, we are passionate about upholding every child’s right to a quality education. In addition to founding and operating three schools—namely Welspun Vidya Mandir (CBSE - English medium), Gayatri Devi Public school (Gujarat Board - English medium), and Gayatri Devi Ved Vidhyalaya (Vedic school)—near our facility in Anjar, India, the Welspun Foundation also runs vocational and skill training programmes to create further opportunities for the youth and lift families to better, more contented lives.
Menstrual Hygiene Through Women Entrepreneurship
With an aim to encourage sanitation practices in women & empowering them to earn a better livelihood, the Welspun Foundation initiated a project on promoting menstrual hygiene. Our women entrepreneurs, through a distributorship model are ensuring that each woman & adolescent in villages of Anjar, Vapi, Saharanpur and Dewas have access to sanitary pads. So far, 60 entrepreneurs are impacting the lives of over 22,000 people in these villages.
Promotion Of Indian Women In Sports
With a clear vision to support promising underprivileged sportswomen, we offer crucial support to young women fighting to break into the highest levels of their sport. Our vision is not only confined to motivating women to take up sports but also includes helping them pursue it as a full-time career. The Welspun Foundation currently supports 14 high-potential sportswomen from varied disciplines, namely swimming, para-badminton, para-weightlifting, athletics, boxing, taekwondo, hockey, and cycling, and their dream to make the country proud.
Saplings for Sustainability
With over 36,000 saplings planted so far, Welspun’s green initiatives in Anjar, Vapi, and Dahej have transformed the landscape of what were once dry and arid regions. At Anjar, which was once a desert, there now thrives a verdant green oasis – a testament to the environmental programs initiated by the Welspun Foundation.
Project Navchetana
Project Navchetana is an initiative dedicated only to women and children, with an aim to curb anaemia in women and malnutrition in children. We are currently operational in 10 villages of Anjar and 5 villages of Vapi, helping over 22,000 people.
Better Sanitation for Better Lives
Steered by our zeal to improve the overall health of the communities we touch, we lay emphasis on the importance of sanitation. The Welspun Foundation has constructed over 6,000 sanitation blocks in the villages of Anjar and Vapi.
Cotton farming for farmers’ welfare
Sustainability being a key goal at Welspun, our cotton farming initiative reaches out to more than 1,000 farmers. Apart from plantation, this activity also encourages farmers to take it up as a livelihood.
